Last night Africause hosted a special welcome for an Ethiopian diplomatic delegates visiting Melbourne. The African Australian communities & Business leaders attended with a short notice at the dinner to welcome the Ethiopian government delegate at Sahara restaurant in Kensington. The delegates include Deputy Mayor of Deredawa (southern part of Ethiopia around 500 Km from Addis Abeba); a state of around 1 million population. The other include MPs and business leaders.
Surprisingly all the 8 delegates (include 3 women) are young, energetic & very inspirational, ready to learn and embrace diversity of ethnicity, race & faith. They said, we are open and ready to learn and build our nation and society the journey of peace. As they say; “Strength lies in differences, not in similarities”.
It looks for outsiders, as if our communities are divided & fighting. Last night was a testimony of our proudest evening United and complementing/supporting each other’s view to send a message, here in Melbourne, Australia; we are United and ready to support you the journey to peace, coexistence and prosperity. The business leaders made it clear ready to invest create the environment of peace and welcome of diversity and inclusiveness; everyone must be respected regardless of his/her race, creed, ethnicity, religion etc.
our delegates assured, we will create the environment and you come to build prosperity and hope.
What a wonderful gathering of diverse community & business leaders welcoming our special guest to send a message of unity and brotherhood/sisterhood to our people back home to share and support in their journey of creating peace building environment on good foundation of fairness for every child to access thier dream via education, wellbeing via good health services and in economic, sport, political etc participation for every citizen regardless of their race, religion, creed, etc It is a dream, United can be done.
