February 26, 2021VEC Democracy Ambassadors and staff members explain in your language how to respond to an Apparent Failure to Vote Notice. If it appears you did not vote at the October 2020 local council elections, you may receive an Apparent Failure to Vote notice. This is your opportunity to explain why it appears you did not vote.
During the LG2020 Local Council Elections, we created a series of in-language videos to support voters from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds. The Apparent Failure to Vote Notice (Notice) video is the last one in our series. The video show people how to respond to the Notice in 11 languages. 331,762 failed to vote in the elections.
In February 2021, the VEC will be mailing out the Notice. People have 28 days to respond to the Notice.
