With the over-representation of young African Australians in Victoria’s correctional institutions it is evident that, if we want these young people to have an opportunity of turning their lives around 

and making a meaningful contribution to our society in the future they need guidance to do so. Just locking them up and then releasing them without support once they have served their time is clearly not the answer and that is why, led by our indefatigable CEO, Africause (AAMEYS) have been pro-active in providing support and recreation opportunities while incarcerated and also the necessary support for employment, housing and education upon release.
